Human searchers scan results visually, follow curiosity, and tolerate ambiguity — agents issue precise tool calls, parse structured outputs, and terminate as soon as a confidence threshold is met, which means the content humans find compelling often never reaches an agent's context.

Try it yourself

1. Google your product manually and record the 5 URLs you actually click — then prompt an agent to research the same product and compare which URLs it retrieves to your manual list.
2. Identify one piece of content on your site that depends on visual layout (a comparison table, a hero graphic, a pricing toggle) and describe exactly what an agent would see after text extraction.
3. Measure the average sentence length on your product's homepage — compare it to the sentence length of a Wikipedia article on a related topic, which agents are known to cite frequently.
