Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 April 2026

These terms govern your use of Capstok (the “Service”). Capstok is operated by Lakshya Kumar(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or accessing any part of the Service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secret and for everything done through your account. One account is for one person — sharing logins or reselling access is not allowed. Tell us immediately at lklsquare@gmail.com if you think your account has been compromised.

2. What Capstok offers

A challenge-first learning platform: written tasks, small projects, quizzes, references, and optional AI tooling via your own API keys. Module 1 of every course is free. Modules 2–3 open on email verification. Membership or a per-course purchase unlocks the rest. We may add, change, or retire content at any time; where a paid grant is materially affected we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you.

3. Payments, refunds, and grants

Prices are shown in INR or USD and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Purchases grant access for the duration shown at checkout (weekly, monthly, annual, or lifetime). Because digital content is delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable; if something is clearly broken on our side, email us within 7 days and we'll make it right.

Coupons and invite links are personal to the recipient and cannot be transferred, resold, or combined. We may revoke a coupon if we believe it was obtained or used in bad faith. Free-access grants (including requests approved by our team) are a courtesy, not a right, and may be time-limited or revoked for abuse.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your submissions

You keep ownership of code, writing, and projects you submit to Capstok (for example, capstone projects). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store and display them for the purpose of running the Service — for instance, so our reviewers can see your capstone and decide on a certificate. We don't claim any ownership of your work and we won't publish it without your consent.

6. Certificates

Certificates are issued when you complete a course's required tasks and any required capstone projects. A Capstok certificate verifies that you cleared our internal rubric; it is not an accredited degree, diploma, or license. Each certificate has a public verify URL so third parties can confirm authenticity.

7. AI integrations

Capstok lets you bring your own AI (Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-aware agents) via an API key you mint on your dashboard. Your API key is scoped to your account, read-only by default, and can be revoked at any time from /dashboard/api-keys. Your prompts and the model responses never pass through our servers — your AI talks to us through the MCP endpoint only to fetch content you are entitled to see.

8. Organizations

Organization owners are responsible for how their members use the Service and for keeping seat usage, invite links, and member rosters accurate. If a member leaves the organization, they retain any personal grants they hold but lose the organization's tier.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, that show signs of credential sharing, or that create legal risk for the Service. Where termination is our fault or for convenience, we will prorate and refund any unused paid time.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Capstok is provided “as is”. We do our best, but we make no guarantees about uptime, career outcomes, or the accuracy of any specific lesson. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If the change is material we will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date counts as acceptance.

12. Contact and governing law

Questions or disputes: lklsquare@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Delhi, India, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive authority over any claim.
