100 challenges for the filmmaker who already knows Runway. Narrative discipline, character consistency, lip sync, editorial, VFX hybrid pipelines, and how to actually ship.
A sequel to AI / Film-making. Start where that course ended: you can generate beautiful 5-second clips. Now build a narrative muscle. Treatments, shot lists, character consistency, dialogue lip-sync, camera control, editorial craft, sound design, VFX hybrid pipelines, and the distribution landscape. Five capstones spanning dialogue-driven narrative shorts, music videos, documentaries, and a commercial pitch — submit any three to earn your certificate.

Produce a 2-minute narrative short film with at least one dialogue scene (lip-synced), a recurring character, and a visible 3-act structure. Submit: final MP4, beat sheet, shot list with retry counts, and a 300-word process note on the hardest problem (consistency, lip sync, or pacing) and how you solved it.
Produce a 3-minute music video for an original or licensed track. Requirements: every cut must land on a beat or phrase in the track, at least 15 distinct shots, and motion that responds to the music's dynamics (camera moves with a swell, cuts tighten on the chorus). Submit: MP4, track credit, shot-to-beat timing document.
Produce a 3-minute documentary-style segment on a subject of your choosing. Real-world or speculative. Requirements: voiceover narration, AI-generated archival-style footage (or real archival if licensing allows), interviews (real or AI-synthesised with clear disclosure), and at least one data visualisation. Submit: MP4, narration script, source/fact-check notes.
Produce episode 1 of a hypothetical mini-series — a 4-minute piece that establishes a protagonist and an ongoing question. The protagonist must appear recognisably the same across at least 12 shots and 3 distinct scenes (different lighting, different wardrobe). Submit: MP4, character reference sheet, and a consistency audit rating each scene on a 1-5 scale.
Produce a 60-second commercial spec spot for a real brand (any consumer product). Requirements: match the brand's existing visual language, have a clear one-sentence message, include a legible logo / product moment, and target a specific platform (Instagram Reels, YouTube pre-roll, OOH). Submit: MP4 (in the correct aspect ratio for the platform), a one-page creative brief, and the brand guidelines you were matching.
